Scott R. Wells' novel, "Cross Intents: The Birth," injects a fresh and thrilling take on the nativity story as Christian fiction and spiritual warfare elements collide. The story commences with an angelic captain, Elric, embarking on a critical mission to defend the King, igniting an epic clash between angels and demons. The narrative masterfully intertwines the age-old battle between good and evil, led by the treacherous demon Luchek, with the divine plan of the birth of Jesus.

"Cross Intents: The Baptism," the second installment in Scott R. Wells' trilogy, intensifies the drama surrounding Jesus' early life, weaving an intricate tapestry of Christian fiction and spiritual warfare. King Herod’s descent into madness, spurred on by the sinister demon Molech, drives him to unleash a heinous massacre of innocent children. Amidst this perilous backdrop, the valiant angels, Elric and Jenli, fight tooth and nail to safeguard the Holy Family from relentless demonic attacks as they navigate their journey from Bethlehem to Jerusalem.

With a masterful fusion of historical and imaginative elements, Scott R. Wells' trilogy brings a fresh and compelling take to the story of Christ’s birth and early life. The intricate blend of spiritual warfare and biblical history creates a powerful narrative that delves into the unseen struggles of angels and demons, breathing new life into these well-known stories. These gripping and emotionally charged novels offer an immersive experience for fans of Christian fiction, providing a unique perspective on the familiar events and characters.

The book was well edited and contained no errors, and I had no reason to dislike this book, which is why I give it 5 out of 5 stars. For a fresh and dramatic retelling of Christ's birth, blending biblical history with spiritual warfare, Scott R. Wells' "Cross Intents" series is a must-read for Christian fiction fans.
