[Following is a volunteer review of "Twisted Threads" by Kaylin McFarren.]
It all began in Kyoto, Japan, after a battle scene when Akira, a member of the Zakura-Kai clan, embarked on a new mission to discover and eliminate the murderer of Keiko Mitsui. Akira was assigned an accomplice named Takashi Hamada, and they were to board the Starfish luxury ship pretending to be casual people and find the murderer of Keiko Mitsui, who was killed in Mexico. While on the Starfish, things didn’t turn out completely as she expected when she met Devon, the nephew of Sara Lyons, the supposed murderer of Keiko Mitsui. Devon and Akira fell in love, leaving Akira with a lot of secrets to review with Devon if the relationship would last longer after the vacation on Starfish. Being so close to Devon, the nephew of Sara Lyons, the supposed murderer of Keiko Mitsui, what would Akira do? Will she go ahead to eliminate Sara? Will Devon eventually find out the true identity of Akira? And finally, is Sara Lyons the killer of Keiko Mitsui? Find out more when you grab a copy of the novel Twisted Threads by Kaylin McFarren, a classic novel of betrayal, love, lust, adventure, mystery, crime solving, and action.
What I found to be fascinating about the novel is that in Twisted Threads by Kaylin McFarren, I observed how different characters were employed and portrayed in the novel. The author made efforts to narrate the novel from Akira's perspective but not deny the perspective of other characters like Devon, Yuki, and Takashi Hamada, making me view the novel from different perspectives, which brought more light to the novel. The secrecy of the novel and the crime-solving aspect were other epic features employed in this novel that fascinated me. I kept picking up the pieces in every chapter of the novel with the curiosity to find out the murderer of Keiko Mitsui, which caught me by surprise when I found the true killer. It was exciting to experience that strong urge to uncover the mystery and the crime committed on the Starfish luxury ship and how they all related to discovering the Keiko Mitsui murderer.
There was nothing that I disliked about this novel while reading it; although I observed a lot of vulgar words and sexual language references, it didn’t change the way I felt about reading the novel. I do think the use of sexual language made the novel more interesting and entertaining.
In addition, I would also like to say that this novel has no grammatical errors, as I did not encounter a single grammatical error in my process of reading it. I would wholeheartedly give this novel, Twisted Threads by Kaylin McFarren, a rating of 5 out of 5 stars and also say that it has been exceptionally well edited.
Readers who enjoy reading novels with genres containing love, betrayal, crime, lust, adventure, and action would indeed enjoy this novel. Therefore, I recommend this novel to these genres of readers, as I did experience all listed above, and I do expect readers of this novel to experience and enjoy that as well.
