"Crimeline Hollywood" by author Thomas Collins is a compelling blend of different genres. Seamlessly weaving together elements of astrology, crime, love, partnership, and friendship with a thread of witty humour running through its narrative.

The story revolves around Dash Harwood, a former struggling clinical psychologist who turned into a celebrity astrologer in Hollywood. When he gives misguided advice to a powerful client with thugs working under him, he decides to escape the ensuing trouble by going off the grid eighteen hundred miles away and starting anew, far from the glitz and glamour.
He re-establishes himself, finds a part-time job, and gets caught up in a tender romance.
Despite his efforts to build a new life, he finds himself entangled in a complicated situation when Hollywood's biggest celebrity and his closest client, Sparklynn James, is kidnapped. Dash teams up with Becca Fairway, a celebrity detective hungry for clout and fame, and together, they embark on an engaging investigation filled with banter and wit.

"Crimeline Hollywood" is characterised by its simple style, language, and gradual buildup of evidence leading to a shocking climax. Divided into five parts, each emphasising on different stages of Dash’s life.
The book provides insight into the inner workings of Hollywood and uncovers its darker side.
My favourite character has to be Dash because, throughout the book, he never fails to trust his intuition and follows what feels right to him. The author did a fantastic job of portraying the friendship between the characters.

What I disliked were the errors that I encountered. Though infrequent, they interrupted my flow and made me pause and reread certain sections for clarity.
Overall, it is a captivating read with well-crafted characters despite minor grammatical errors. I highly recommend it, giving it four out of five stars.
This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys the suspense and excitement of crime thriller novels.
