Who does not love America? There is a reason why it's a dream country for many. It's probably the most powerful and rich country in the world. As someone who doesn’t live in America, I primarily admire the country for three reasons: its diverse culture, the freedom of citizens, and employment opportunities that offer fair pay. If you want to know what’s there to know about America, what to love, and where further improvement is needed, read this short book, “American Papers: My love letters to America by Jayme Alencar de Oliveira Filho,” to find out.

This book celebrates the unique spirit and values that propel American individuals to overcome adversity and achieve greatness. The book contains several chapters that discuss the different aspects, history, and value systems that make America great. The book starts by discussing the influence of American presidents in the past and democracy. Then it goes further and discusses what makes America exceptional and what’s right about it. Finally, it discusses the Republic, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Constitution, the National Anthem, Patriotism, the Oath of Office, and the Declaration of Independence. You will receive a brief overview and discussion on these topics.

I liked several things about the book. I like that the author dives into both the positive and negative aspects of the topics he discusses. I liked the poem that the author wrote dedicated to America, and it gave the book a strong start. The artwork and graphics used throughout the book increase its appeal and give the reader the necessary pause to reflect on the contents of the book. This book helped me fulfill my own curiosity about American culture and what makes it great. The book is also edited quite well, and I found no errors while reading it.

There is only one concern while reading the book. While the author tries to stay unbiased when praising America, some elements might feel biased. Since the book's premise is about the author's love for his country, I guess he doesn't need to cover all the negative aspects of America in detail.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I have given it a perfect rating because the author did a great job putting together this book, and the minor complaint I have does not justify the reduction in rating. Whoever wants to know what makes America great should give this book a try.
