"Wise Winston Walks" by Jim Trebbien is a delightful children's book that reminds us of the importance of having a wise friend to give valuable advice.

Meet Max, the wise dog, who has a whole pack of young friends who come to him for guidance. There's Ava, who's struggling with reading her books; Olivia, who didn't accept a ride from a stranger; and Elijah, who's feeling left out because he likes different things than his friends. Max listens patiently and offers words of wisdom: "Don't talk to a stranger, Emma"; "Don't give up, Ava—you'll be reading like a pro in no time!"; and "Embrace your uniqueness, Elijah—it's what makes you special!" Max's advice ranges from basic parental training (like "don't talk to strangers") to valuable life lessons (like "doing chores is a way to show your love and appreciation for your family"). With Max's guidance, his friends learn and grow, and their problems become growth opportunities. This charming story celebrates the power of mentorship and the impact one wise friend can have on many lives. The endearing illustrations of Max and his friends will warm your heart, and Max's advice will resonate with children and parents alike.

My favorite part of the book is that it was easy to follow and understand. The way the story was presented made it perfect for children to read and enjoy. Even though the storyline was repetitive, I believe this book was meant to advise young readers. I loved how the book emphasized the importance of being oneself and listening to one's parents. It made me realize that the valuable lessons in this book can have a positive impact on young children. I also want to give credit to the illustrator for the beautiful pictures that made the book colorful and easy to follow.

I couldn't find anything negative to say about this book. Considering all of the positive effects and the seamless flow of the book, I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. The flawless editing and attention to detail stood out to me. I highly recommend this book to kids aged 5 to 10, as it can be a great source of motivation for them.

I love the concept of this book about teaching children valuable life lessons, I wonder if the Max character also serves as an idea that if children don't have both parents, or can't talk to them for whatever reason, there maybe someone else, a teacher or cub leader who they can go to.

I believe that dogs show their wisdom through their unconditional acceptance of their human friends. Dogs remind us of the important things in life such as going for walks and spending time together. Therapy dogs, police dogs, and companion dogs fill important roles in human circles. I appreciate the values, which you outlined in this children's book. The dog's advice was the vehicule used to deliver these values to the children. Children will also learn that a dog is truly man's best friend.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful review. I think you have outlined all the aspects one need to know when reading it. Job well done, indeed.
‘When you do a good deed, people are grateful, and that creates a nice feeling inside you; and then because it feels good, that makes you want to do more good deeds. That repetition is the cycle of goodness.’
