'My Trip To Adele 'by A.I Alyasser and R.I Alyasser is a romantic novel which is based on the lives of three couples who live in different cities but who share something in common, that is their love for Adele and her music.
The novel begins with the story of Elias and Malika who met in Morocco but who got separated for 8 years. With the belief that the cause of separation is due to a spell cast on them Elias goes to look for his long lost love.On his quest he learns that Malika left Marrakesh as she had said she would 8 years back.He therefore goes to meet her in the Adele concert, since they had a promise to each other to meeet there.
The second story is of Nadia, a divorced mother whose character you cann't help but fall in love with especially since she has very strong personality. She has a son, Waleed, whom she plans to go abroad with so as to attend the Adele concert together since they both love Adele's music. Her ex-husband however, burns their son from travelling abroad this therefore makes Nadia to choose between going on the trip or staying with her son.
The final story is of Yaser and Maryam, a married couple who are having marital problems. They therefore seek counselling advice, who advises that they look for happy memories they shared in their marriage so as to save thier marriage. This gives Yaser an idea that they both attend the Adele concert so as to rekindle their love since they both love Adele but Maryam refuses to join her husband.
'My Trip to Adele' is one of those books which you cann't help but just connect with the emotions that the characters in the book express. The description of the cities are well beautifully brought out that as you read you can clearly picture them. There are also themes such as theme of love, theme of marriage, theme of divorce, theme of sacrifice, to just name a few.
The authors of this book, whose love for Adele and her music is undeniable have done an amazing job with their writing especially by making the conversations between characters seem so real. What i applaud most is how Adele's lyrics were included at the end of each chapter and they actually connected with what happened in that chapter, this feature made this book very unique and one of a kind. Therefore I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for one of the best reads!
