Breksta'a Academy was a really good read that I couldn't put down. The plot was unexpected and was really unique. It made me keep wanting more. Quay had a certain way with words, to really describe a scene that made me feel that I was really there. When Quay described certain places or certain characters, I was really able to paint a picture in my head of the story, that other books haven't been able to do for me.

The only reason that I felt the need to not rate it an amazing score is because there was a few Grammer mistakes like on page 219 where is repeated Hestia's name 2 or 3 times in a row. I also felt that the dialogue wasn't all that smooth. There were often times where the dialogue was not really something that I would think the character would say and more of what the author felt just needed to be added in somewhere. Some of the characters also didn't really have a good enough reason to suddenly change their whole personality, it was like the author was making them, instead of the characters choosing it.

I loved the relationships between characters though. I found the friendship between Breskta and Hestia super relatable and I was able to apply that to my own life. I felt that it could have been expanded upon to show more of their development from the beginning of the book to the end. The only problem was that I found the same exact pattern between all of the characters and their parents that disappointed me greatly.

I also felt like some of the emotions were written more strongly than others. There was a ton of more negative emotions were present throughout the entire book and there wasn't much happiness. I get that the time was a more sad one, but I would have liked if there was just a small scene where the characters would be able to experience a little bit of happiness.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was a really unique idea with unique characters. The author was really able to create a really magical world that I would have loved to learn more about. I found a few ways that the author could improve the story, by expanding more on the characters, relationships and scenes. That is why I would rate this a 2/4 and 3/5.
