Who told you that you were naked? was written by William E Combs. Is a non-fiction book that scrutinizes what happened in the garden of Eden to better clarify the concepts of sin, faith, God's fear and redemption. The author started with a background story of a experience he encountered during his childhood and how it gave him a new revelation and deeper understanding of the beginning of mankind and other things which he wrote in the book.
This book directs our mind to the understanding of sin, faith, God's fear and redemption in the new testament. It focuses on the old testament, the story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and how sin and death entered the world. The circumstances Adam and Eve encountered to be deceived by serpent and this caused them to leaved the garden of Eden.
The author let us know that God loves us so much despited our sins. In old testament, he wrote; and the Lord God made for Adam and his wife garments of skins and clothed them, if you come to new testament he wrote; unlike Jesus came and dead for our sin. He redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.
People who experience a close encounter with the Lord report how loving, gracious and caring He is. We have to live by faith to plead the Lord. The book told us that Adam and Eve don't have faith in God, that is why they ate the fruit God instructed them not to eat. From the scripture Adam wanted to plead his wife instead of God. The scripture let us know the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of holy one is insight. Adam and Eve don't have fear of God, they disobeyed Him, Cain also don't have fear of God in him despited God's warning he went ahead and killed his brother Abel.
What I like most about the book is that it make us to understands the concept of sin, faith, God's fear and redemption. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. Fear the Lord and depart from evil. The scripture said seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other things will be added to you. This scripture does not apply only to christians but everybody. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to be read by everyone, it will create a good relationship with God and them.
