[Following is a volunteer review of "Relish Your Retirement" by Florance Philip.]
The book, Relish Your Retirement, by Florance Philip is a non-fiction book about how to live your best life during your retirement. The book is divided into 11 chapters, and each chapter bears a different central message to the audience. This book was a great read because it was very straightforward with the themes and messages the author wanted to convey to the readers. The author includes a chronological story of our lives that ranges from life as a toddler, a teenager, and an adult. She details different difficulties we may encounter throughout our lives, primarily during our working years. She also provides an argument for the need to take an interest in other things after retirement. She also explores several activities individuals can engage in after retirement and subdivides them into different categories or skills and activities.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I also enjoyed the style the author wrote it in. She wrote it in simple terms and sentences so all readers can understand the message. I also learned about new activities that I never knew existed. I thought the book was very thoughtful and interesting.
There was nothing that I did not like about the book. I liked that the author did not use any profane language at all. I also did not find any grammatical errors or typos throughout the book. This is a testament to the exceptional editing that was completed to the book prior to publication.
I would rate this book five out of five stars for all the reasons I stated above. This book provided lots of excellent information that would be useful to anyone who is retired or is planning to retire soon.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is retiring soon or who is currently retired. The book will especially be helpful with providing readers with ideas of activities to participate in after retirement.
