Children hold the key to the world of imagination. In Stevie Tenderheart Books WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible, Stevie is a sharp-witted and cheerful boy. He loves his bed and wants to take it with him everywhere. In his dreams, Stevie takes his bed even to the moon! His boundless imagination leads him to plan to turn his bed into a big repository of all the things he loves: balls of all sizes and shapes, animals he adores, and a lot of snacks. But is his plan feasible? Read the book to find out how humorous his reaction is when his idea proves to be unrealistic.

This book is adorable. Nancy Watson's eye-catching illustrations complement the engaging and humorous writing style perfectly. Through Stevie, the author portrays the innocence of childhood. He encourages the development of imagination in children while incorporating subtle life lessons into the story. Stevie's adventures emphasize the importance of decision-making, problem-solving, and healthy eating, among other things. This story will teach a child that plans don't always succeed, and that failure is part of life. The vocabulary is kept simple, with certain words highlighted in color. Part of the narrative is in rhymes, making it easier for children to stay engaged.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. It is humorous, heartwarming, and educational. The editing is flawless, with no errors. Although it is a children's book, I enjoyed reading the adventures of Stevie. His bed is a big part of his imaginative world, and the story will encourage young readers to anticipate bedtime eagerly. I admire that the author uses Stevie's perspective to advise children about various good habits. For all these reasons, I rate this book 5 out of 5

I would recommend this book to everyone. Parents will enjoy reading this story to younger children, and older children will be able to read it by themselves. It is one of the best children's books I have ever read.

I think it’s great to have a book of some length to read to kids. I remember when I was much younger that my dad had to pick an adult book to read to us in short sections to achieve the same effect. Thanks!

The combination of simplicity and wonderful illustrations make it an outstanding children's book. It is nice to highlight a child's imagination and encourage them to develop. The book will be on my list. Great review RJ, I enjoyed reading it.

Wow this is certainly a great children's book. I appreciate how it shows that Stevie loves his bed. It is fantastic that an adult can enjoy reading this book as well. Parents, grandparents, and children will share the joy of reading this book. It is a plus that an older child will be able to enjoy reading this book. I am buying this book for my grandsons with the hope that they will look forward to going to bed and lose their fear of missing out on other things until the next day begins. Thank you for this great review. :techie-studyinggray:

Indeed, children are creative little demons. I remember how much I loved different stories and also different adaptations of stories. Whenever I watched a story, even if I knew the outcome, I always wanted to see how the movie would look. The same goes for stories. I read all the stories, even knowing everything about them, just to see how the author put them down in words. I'm glad to see such a book.
