"Relentless" by Mitzi Perdue offers an insightful look into the life of Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the famous "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series. Through interviews with over 100 individuals, including Hansen's family, friends, and colleagues, Perdue skillfully presents a biography that explores Hansen's upbringing, values, successes, failures, and the ripple effects of his decisions.

Perdue excels at immersing readers in Hansen's world, allowing us to witness his personality, achievements, and challenges. The diverse stories shared paint a comprehensive picture of Hansen, showcasing his resilience, ability to learn from mistakes, and profound influence on others.

The inclusion of lesson summaries at the end of each chapter provides readers with valuable insights to ponder. However, some narratives felt incomplete or disjointed, likely due to the extensive material covered and various perspectives included.

Through Perdue's interviews, readers gain a 360-degree view of Hansen, portraying him not only as a legend but also as a relatable individual who faced struggles and made mistakes. The diligence in gathering diverse perspectives enriches the narrative, revealing different facets of Hansen's life and character.

"Relentless" inspires and challenges readers, emphasizing that despite hardships, there is always hope for resilience. Perdue's refusal to embellish Hansen's story adds to its relatability and authenticity.

I admired Jack and Mark for their determination when no publisher accepted their book. They faced big challenges that sometimes felt too much, but they kept going. Mark had a clear goal of becoming a bestselling author, and he was determined to achieve it. I realized this is what makes successful people different from unsuccessful ones. Another thing I liked about Mark was how humble he stayed despite his growing success and wealth. It was clear he cared about others. I also liked how the book talked about the benefits of tithing. Mitzi Perdue showed how Mark believed in giving back to the community.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the book. It had timely and relevant information that can inspire anyone facing challenges to keep going. I appreciated the encouragement throughout the book. Mark Hensen genuinely wanted the best for everyone he met, inspiring them to pursue their dreams.

I give the book 5 out of 5 stars. It was exceptionally well edited, without any mistakes. It provided informative insights into Mark Victor Hansen's life, sticking to the relevant facts.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy self-help nonfiction. Mark's life is a great example of leadership and success. Readers can learn from his resilience, creativity, humility, and kindness.
