In the book Opaque, we follow the story of Adam Caspian, a teenager who feels trapped in a society that expects him to conform. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Carly Wit, a girl who seems to bring something extraordinary into his world. Together, they discover the hidden world of descendants, people with special powers due to genetic mutations. As they uncover secrets and develop their abilities, they find themselves in Afrax, a secret location full of energy where descendants are both protected and imprisoned by their lineage. Through Adam's exploration of his ancestors' journals, he learns about a history of captivity, torture, and a quest for freedom. This is a story about light and darkness, love, destiny, and the struggles of the past that shape the present and future.

What I like about this book is how it includes characters like Rye. Even though we don't get to know a lot about him, it's clear he's important to the team. He's involved in the big plans and actions, which shows he's trusted and plays a key role. It's great how the story makes every character matter, even those who aren't in the spotlight all the time. It makes me feel like everyone counts, and that's a cool thing about this book.

There is nothing to dislike about this book because the characters are really deep and real. Take JoAnn and Vera, for example. They're so sincere and kind that you can't help but relate to them. They feel like real people, not just names on a page. JoAnn's relationship with Adam and Vera's with Carly show so much love and care. It's this kind of detail that makes the characters stick with you long after you've finished reading. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars as it's great how it gives importance to characters like Rye, even though we don't know much about him. He's a vital part of the team, involved in important plans and actions. The story makes every character feel significant, even those who are not always in the spotlight. It makes me feel like everyone's contributions matter, which I appreciate. This book receives a solid 5 stars because the characters are so well-developed and relatable.

Characters like JoAnn and Vera feel genuine and kind, making them easy to connect with. Their relationships with Adam and Carly are portrayed with such love and care, adding depth to the story. These details make the characters memorable long after finishing the book. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys stories with well-rounded characters and meaningful relationships.
