Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!

[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
Snatched Up to Heaven is a depiction of visions of heaven and hell from two young sisters, ages 2 and 4. The book was an easy read, with simple language and excellent references to the Bible to back up the sisters’ visions. I was able to imagine the visions based on their detailed descriptions. The book was well organized and thorough. I enjoyed the raw accounts on YouTube of these visions from the children themselves. I respected the fact that the author used the details from the children to compare it to Bible verses, since her family’s goal is to follow and serve Christ. The book is a good reminder of the innocence of children and childlike faith. The book deserved five stars because of the care that went into the organization, details, and references to the Bible. The author’s children had a strong impact on the entire family and referencing that in the end helped to see the proof. I would like to see more from this author in the future. It would be intriguing to me, for her to follow her children’s life experiences through time. Since it is important for them to impact others in a positive way, more life experiences are critical in order for others to relate. This book is an easy read but may not be easy for someone who has never picked up a Bible or gone to church. I enjoyed the book but was unsure of the author’s target audience. If she is trying to reach people who do not know Jesus, I believe this may cause them to lose interest and not finish the book but may help if there were more personal stories of their lives. It is good that she indicated the impact of her and her husband, but I could not help but wonder if there was an impact on these sisters after they experienced these visions.
