[Following is a volunteer review of "Somawise" by Luke Sniewski.]
Somawise by Luke Sniewski is a non-fiction book that discusses the relationship between body and mind. According to the author, if your body heals, the mind will follow. He also shares several techniques for understanding how your mind and body work together. This book is in a narrative style and allows readers to connect quickly with the concepts that are presented.
He is a talented writer, and I liked how the author uses his personal experiences in his book. He presented real-life stories, followed by his thoughts on how situations could have been handled differently by training the mind to think more effectively. I found his context very relatable, as his stories often depict real-life situations. I personally found many of his stories relatable to today's world.
This book was self published and I found the book to be well edited since I haven't found any errors in terms of grammar or spelling. I really loved the cover and found it very gravitating to pull from a shelf. I appreciate the writer for coming up with such a lovely book that talks about training your body, which eventually ends up training your mind. I think this is especially important in today’s world! I personally am a marathon runner and practice yoga daily, so I understand the importance of connecting the mind and body. Meditation is just as important as a hard workout!
I have chosen to rate Somawise a five out of five stars. I recommend this book for everyone! I think it offers insights into achieving a healthier body and a sharper mind. I do not think a person needs to practice a certain religion or be an athlete to find this book a good read. I believe this book should be added to your personal library, and I look forward to reading his next book!
