"Snatched up to Heaven for Kids", by husband and wife duo Jemina Paul and Arvind Paul, is a children’s picture book about a young girl named Emma who has a dream about heaven. She prays to have more dreams about heaven, and does. She excitedly tells her parents about these dreams, which lead to discussions about what heaven is, according to the Bible, and discussions about the Christian faith.

I rate this book four stars out of five. The book is well written with no obvious mistakes, the theology is solid and correct and the illustrations are very well done. I took off one star for a few reasons. The biggest reason is the book contains more exposition than action, which can make it a bit of a dull read. The authors could have done a better job showing versus telling, which would have made the pacing of the book more consistent and entertaining for children (and adults as well).

Second, when using direct quotes from the Bible, the authors need to include the version of the Bible in their citations. Third, on page three, there was a statement written that was concerning, as it reflected poor theology. However, I do not believe that the authors intentionally made this mistake since the rest of the book reflects proper theology. However, it is an inconsistency that needs to be addressed.

That being said, this is one of the better books about what heaven is like for children that I have read. "Snatched up to Heaven for Kids" contains solid theology, I really enjoyed how the authors didn’t dumb anything down but made it understandable for children. This book addressed very common questions about heaven that children and adults alike have. Overall, I think this is a very well-done introduction about heaven and Christian theology for children.
