[Following is a volunteer review of "Multi-Billion-Dollar Pet Food Fraud" by Dr Tom Lonsdale.]
Multi million dollar pet food fraud was a very insightful read. While this is not a page turner, it does answer questions and gives a greater understanding for what man’s best friend has been fed for decades. one negative would be the authors tendency to ramble at times and sometimes get off topic. I think the book would be much more effective if some items were taken out of the book. I sometimes had to re-read the chapter to make sure I understood what the author was trying to tell me.
The amount of research that is done in this one book is pretty astounding. I am myself as a pet owner will look at every food items I buy for my pets in a completely different way. It is pretty incredible how awful society has marketed dog food and pet food in general. Often our pets are an extremely important part of our families and yet we have been feeding them carcinogens and inflammatory causing foods for decades. This insight alone makes this an important read for all pet owners, or anyone interested in learning how to better care for their furry friends. This book taught me that if we are going to require animals to live with us, then it is our duty to make sure they’re being treated correctly and being fed a proper diet.
I do feel this piece of literature would be better served as a documentary or visual presentation of some kind. Overall I trust the author and the insights that he has given and I’m not upset, that I read through the entire book.
