[Following is a volunteer review of "Dante's Demons" by K.L. Barstow.]
In the book, “Dante’s Demons: Demon Dawgs MC San Diego”, I would say it is a 5 out of 5 if I based it purely on grammar and spelling. One problem I had with it was it was a bit cheesy at times, however, that is my own personal feeling. The plot keeps the reader guessing. The signs keep pointing towards other characters in the story, which keeps the reader wanting more. The romantic aspects of the book were also pretty good. Though at times different scenes were cheesy from the word choice used. However, that is my preference, and I do not believe it should be enough to make this book a 4 out of 5. It is rare to find a book with no grammar or spelling errors and there were none. One thing I can think of that would be a good idea to add to the book. In most books that involve intense violence, abuse, rape, or sexual acts that could trigger someone or should not be read by minors. They have a warning on one of the pages before the first chapter. Otherwise, this is a very good book, none of the characters acted out of character. Also, I did not see any plot holes when reading this story. Part of the story that seemed unimportant later on made sense for why they were brought up. It was a very smooth read and had a very nice flow. The only other thing I can think of is that I could not find the heart in this story. To be more specific, what makes this story important? It is a good book for a brief read, however, I do not think I would read it again. The story needs a moment that tells the reader this is not just a story I can read once and be done with it. I could not find the message if there was one for the reader to get from this story. If there is not one, that is fine. However, I believe it is what would set this book apart from other books and really make this book worth wild reading and because of this I have to give this book a 4 out of 5.
