[Following is a volunteer review of "The Unfakeable Code®" by Tony Jeton Selimi.]
The book Unfakeable Code by Tony Jeton Selmi is a self-help book guiding readers to live their lives as authentically and realistically as possible. Selmi states that all humans are born with some unique ‘code’ within themselves, but as we grow up, we lose those abilities and touch with our inner selves. Selmi then teaches how to reconnect with the inner self.
As we grow, most of us tend to change according to the expectations of society, and due to FOMO and peer pressure these days, this problem has become more common among youngsters. Selmi states that this leads to dissatisfaction, disappointment, and a lack of purpose in life.
The book introduces the concept of losing touch with self-'code', understanding it, and then reconnecting with the lost touch of the inner self. The real you is somewhere lost within you, and it is all your responsibility to gain it back by yourself. The book also explores the dimension of leadership, which is an important aspect of being real and guiding others to be authentic as well. Living freely on our own terms is another important bullet covered in the book, and it gives insights into what actual freedom looks like.
The exercises and strategies are what make it worth a read. Tony Selmi goes deep into the subconscious of the readers, allowing them to explore their inner selves through multiple mind-blowing exercises.
Additionally, the book has an optimistic tone, which I personally felt was somewhat different from other self-help books. Your faults are addressed in a way that won’t offend or make you feel guilty about yourself. “Disarm your emotions” on page 107 is one of my favorite topics, as the author dealt with the most delicate issue and softly conveyed the message that it’s not okay to over-emphasize and rely on emotions.
I would recommend this book to people who are feeling lost somewhere and living unfulfilled lives, those who are struggling to escape from their dreams and are afraid of facing reality, and those looking forward to developing their leadership skills.
Overall, the book is a great read for every person coming across it, and there is no major negative point to address. I would rate this book 5 out of 5, as it stands out in all aspects that a reader would address. 1 star for the perfection of the author to compel the readers about their strengths and weaknesses; 1 star for the flawless editing, which made it an easier read. 1 star goes to the clarity and non-repetition of concepts. 1 star for the optimism, and 1 star for the exercises that turn out to help address the core of the problems.
