Review of Anti-Black Prejudice In America

[Following is a volunteer review of "Anti-Black Prejudice In America" by Anders Eklof.]
Freedom comes in all shapes and sizes, as Anti-Black Prejudice in America points out. The freedom for blacks slowly metamorphosed into freedom for women against their male counterparts, freedom for gays and lesbians, and the like, with women demanding to be equal in all respects, a factor that has fast-tracked humanity to its own demise, I think.
The calls for equality are predominant in the book, especially on the racial front. The author details the path walked by blacks in fighting for their space in their new country against the natives who smuggled them in for work purposes. Anders Eklof reminds a reader of the incessant smuggling of humans to the south of America for labor and really paints a bad image of the people back then. The book also equips the reader with a lot of history that led the world to where we are at the moment.
I relished the information that this book has, but it was humiliating for sure since it contains acts of immorality and a blatant disregard for human life, which is so precious regardless of skin color.
I must state, though, that the book has a number of wise sayings that a reader can build on in pursuing whatever life has in store for them. The interaction with various legends from the past is quite eccentric, and I found it to be worthwhile. The book has been organized into chapters, so reading is enhanced. The book makes use of illustrations that help a reader really grasp the content of the book.
I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because the author was exceptional in editing and the publication contains a lot of important history. The book would definitely suit an audience interested in history, especially black Americans so that they can trace their progress to date.
