Thriving in the Storm by Willam Murphy is a refreshing self help book. He opens up the world of psychology to those who have been afraid to get any form of guided counseling.

I would normally steer clear of this genre of books but because he was not afraid to be vulnerable with his past and current situations I found myself reading more. It is a miracle that he was able to come from a background with such horrific mental and physical abuse to be the man and father he is today.

This book made me question my own existence and why I do the things I do the way I do them.
The exercises at the end of each topic are well worth doing, and if you are honest to yourself you might just open a Pandora’s box of behavioral oddities going on in your life.

I genuinely enjoyed this read and would go back not just to read it but use it as a work book to find my purpose, my WHY!

I rate this book a 4 out 5.

I don’t really enjoy self-help books. The authors of them seem to think that they have all the answers and if the reader would just do what the author says they would be very happy. Thanks!
