[Following is a volunteer review of "Orcas Forever" by Marie-Paule Mahoney.]
Orcas Forever
by Marie-Paule Mahoney
It is a beautiful adventure with drama that leaves you seated and with the question of why the human being is so Machivellian? Are killer whales really that bad with what we have been told since we were little? These and more questions I get to ask after reading this book. A group of 3 orca friends who, thanks to them, will learn incredible things for example: The sophisticated way that orcas communicate, the unique culture that they develop under the waves and (the most important for me) the importance of their strong family ties. Apart from the great values we learn from this book we learn a lot more about orcas in general and their culture (specifically from the southern residents of the Salish Sea).
I really liked the book. Nor is it to give it a 5/5 since I understand that sometimes it can be suffocating so much information about orcas that there is data that you think is invented, but when searching the internet and also from Marie-Paule Mahoney. You know that what she talks about is not a lie. My son had told me about her that he already knew her previously written works, such as my son's favorite: "Whale of Wonder" I recommend it.
In conclusion: If you are a person who already knows Marie's art, you will know what she is going to tell us about in this adventure or if you are a curious person and you are a nature lover. You are going to love the book. If you are not so much of marine animals or just animals. You are not going to like the book since it is a book, as I said before, it shows us how the orcas and their culture under the waves.
my final rating: 4/5
