A book of hope, it keeps you grounded and reminds you of the story and reminds you of how people overcome and achieve hope.

Each chapter gives a new story of true personal experience, from the point of view of different people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.

This book not only addresses tales of hope, but gives people inspiration and the motivation to push through.

One quote in the foreword mentions that “Affection and concern for others are not luxuries, they are necessary for our survival”. This is a reminder to all that we need to love and care for each other in order to succeed and survive in this world.

The chapters are separated in a way that allows us to get to know each storyteller first, they give an explanation of the person who gives their story, and is then followed by their tale of hope.

I love how it explains this, giving us a true sense of their background.

The collection of storytellers explain what hope is to them, what it means and reminds us that we all need to have hope in order to thrive.

Something that speaks volumes is how it is mentions how even the making of the book is a story of hope in itself. The creator explains that they felt mad having such an idea, but hope kept the dream alive and ensured success!

Because of the array of people telling their stories, the style of speech differs from chapter to chapter. This is to be expected.

I rate this book highly. 4/5, this is because I feel like it’s a book that makes you truly feel whole, and able to see meaning in what hope is for us all.

I would give it a higher score but it did feel a little intense at times so I needed a breather between chapters often! This might just be my brain getting a bit easily overwhelmed however.

As mentioned, it is necessary to have hope, for your own sanity. I did learn from this that hope is different for everyone; I didn’t realize that. You know how you start thinking that your way is the only way.
