Review of Purpose

[Following is a volunteer review of "Purpose" by Gina Bianchini.]
From the beginning, Gina Bianchini leaves little nuggets of wisdom for her readers to ponder:
"But at the beginning, simpler is always better."
"...people aren't meant to simply survive. They are wired to do something more."
"Every one of us is born into a community."
"Purpose thrives in community."
"Small actions, over time, lead to big results."
"The world needs your laughter and joy as much as it needs your purpose."
"You're going to have to let go of 'the right way' and instead remain open to trying new things."
"Every time you try something new, you will learn and grow."
These wise words are meant to be encouragement to articulate what has been buried deep within one's self.
As the book progresses, Bianchini is a masterful author who weaves stories together to deliver a simple and powerful message that you too can find your own purpose amongst a community. Throughout the book, she reinforces her message with easy-to-follow actions and a common sense approach to overcoming challenges. She even goes into detail by providing real-life examples so that a reader can grasp her main points.
Conversely, if there was one area for Bianchini to develop, it would be to provide handouts. These handouts would cover the key questions she believes readers should focus on when doing self-reflection. For example, there are a series of questions she poses under the topic of "Current Story" or the "Purpose 30 Questions." Having these handouts will make it easy for readers to reference during their own reflection times. Furthermore, it could be as simple as having a link to her website where readers can print out the handouts in a PDF format.
When it comes to the rating the book, I would give this book either 3-stars out of a 4-star rating or 4-stars out of a 5-star rating. In plain English, this book is a 4 out of 5. Overall, the book is well-written and informative. The book's progression is developed in a straightforward, uncomplicated, and manageable way. Bianchini’s message will resonate and make a connection with the right reader. For me, it was a topic that planted some ideas for my own purpose pilgrimage.
Lastly, in a positive light, if you are willing to put in the time and work to find your purpose and community, Bianchini will be your biggest cheerleader providing a step-by-step process to guide you on your own journey. Altogether, this is a motivating magical missive that you will not want to ignore.
