Review of Niching Up

[Following is a volunteer review of "Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer.]
I really enjoyed this book. Having dabbled in affiliate marketing myself I found this book and topic very relatable and insightful. Although this book is not specific to the direct or affiliate marketing industry, the author's ability to tie his experience with affiliate marketing will benefit a larger audience since so many found their way into that type of industry during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The author's use of sports analogies was excessive in my opinion.
Whether or not a reader knows anything about sports, the analogies used did did clearly make the author's points. This is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars, just too many of the same type of analogies which I felt was repetitive.
I did love that any reference the author used was sited at the end of the chapter versus the end of the book. I was able to jot down that reference and chapter for further follow up right away.
I appreciated the humor of this author. Any anecdotal stories used were not only comical but relatable. I got the sense he was just an ordinary, down to earth guy wanting to share his expertise.
This book, Niching Up, is not a step by step how-to guide on niching. I appreciated that it wasn't. I think the details the author provided were just enough to get the reader to really think about how niching could work for them. The organization of each chapter was fantastic, making this book an easy read.
Overall a great read and anyone in any industry can benefit from reading Niching Up.
