The Purpose is a book about motivation and, most importantly, how to act upon motivation, and achieve one’s goals. This said, however, the book seems to contain three separated, but interwoven stories. First story is of successful inteupreneur sharing her path, current result and vision. In this storyline author presents her view on social media, analysis of it from the practitioner. As those views coming from someone within the industry are interesting. Such stories of success are entertaining, but each such story has it roots in the past that cannot be replicated. Second story is almost a manual to the potential user of that entrepreneur’s own platform. Good if you are onboard or just about to board it, too specific if you are not. The book can definitely do well without this storyline. This part allocated mainly to later chapters, thus reader can park the book to let other ideas to sink in. Or read it as one example of how the third story told works and worked out. In this third story, the author energetically presents the tools to build successful future for anyone who is at crossroads and feels a bit lost. The tools are known, but assembled anew, and not in a rigid system. As with lighthouse - those tools presented create a path, but not to reach the lighthouse, to reach one’s own destination. The concept of self discipline, the question “where do you see yourself in…”, the need to stay focused - all those familiar ideas are wrapped in new, practical set of tools. The concept that all this shall not be done in vacuum, but will be in interaction with community, large or small is off beaten track. Author herself allows to change, redefine or enchase the routine, thus it looks like a practical advise, and not one of those “how to make a million…” coachings. It also helps, that although in adhering to her vision how to make society better, Mrs. Bianchini still accepts personal material goals of the reader as possible Purpose or want.

I will give it 4 out of 5 rating. The language used is easily understood and book flows gently. You have to stay with the book through preface as it is a bit to energetic and with big promises and no explanation on why you should trust it. But it does builds up and deliver on those promises. Definitely a nice, if not must, read to anyone who need inspiration backed by practical, useful advice.
