[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
This book really surprised me. I started reading it thinking it will be some kind of book where there will be two children talking about their dreams. Its totally not that.
The book consists of actual messages sent from God through those two kids. Well, how you receive those messages and how you interpret them will change your thoughts about the book accordingly.
Let me warn you , this book is totally not for those who are not the believers of bible. Because the entire book is based on various revelations from bible. The author has tried to compare the dreams of her children to what she knew from bible.
If you are not a believer there are very high chances that you won't like reading the book where the author praises the bible , The God and Jesus in every other line. She talks about how their teaching have changed the world and had brought a new light to it. The author is what we Indians call as 'Bhakt' of Jesus.
Before starting the book I think you should be ready for reading atleast a few revelations from bible, lot of praising towards God. At some point in the book you will start getting bored because there is lot of stuff that keeps repeating.
For every chapter the author has used the following pattern - some teachings or revelations from bible, then the children's dream, then the interpretation done by auther and then it's comparison with teachings from bible.
This is why the things from the dream keep repeating three times in every chapter so it kind of gets boring.
But the author has tried to give the best description about the heaven and hell from the children's dream. The book is quite informative for those who are into knowing more about bible or about Christian religion. I liked the book even if I'm not a Christian or a believer because I like knowing more about any or every thing .
So the curious minds, wondering what exists up there and what burns down here....here is your book.
I rate this book 3 out of five
