Review of Man Mission

[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Man Mission by Eytain Uliel follows four ordinary men as they annually travel the world to exotic, far away places and put their manhood to the ultimate test. It chronicles the life of the narrator both during the trips and back at home.
It is quick, witty and charming. It hooks you in with it's quick and explosive switches between trip and "normal" life. It leaves you needing and begging for more from either of these intricately intertwined parts of these men's lives.
Man Mission is a rough, unadulterated, rigorous exploration and dissection of what it means to be a man in this new age. How to act, how to feel, and mostly, how to interact with those around you. It put the limelight on some of the most toxic and dangerous roles that men tend to place themselves in and forced our characters to delve deep into themselves and figure out what it is that they truly wanted.
I found the story to be very entertaining yet educative. It shone a light on some of the difficulties of being a man yet never downplayed the consequences of every single choice and situation our character put himself in.
One bad thing I'd say stood out for me was the length of the book or, more so, the detailing of the some trips. Sometimes it felt like we were left too long in a trip that I found myself not really caring once the big reveals, moments, or lessons we were supposed to appreciate had been revealed.
With all that said, I give it an absolute five out of five stars. This book captivated my mind in more ways than I would have possibly imagined and kept me at the edge of my seat with equal doses of drama, intrigue and emotion. I felt connected to these characters and I honestly believe that everyone who takes up the book will too. It was exceptionally edited since I only saw two minor errors that didn't take away from my absorption of the tale.
I'd recommend this book to any reader that loves realism in the stories they read, those who love travelling to exotic, beautiful places, and lovers of good prose but, most importantly, I'd recommend it to fledgling men out there. This is a must read for any 21st century man.
