Just Die by E. Alan Fleischauer is a thrilling fiction story with a captivating plot. Jake Silver has lived a seemingly normal life, until one day something his mother taught him as a joke when he was younger turned out to be something that had dire consequences for everyone around him. When his mother was teaching him how to drive, she did not want him flipping up his middle finger when he was mad on the road. Instead, she taught him to point at the person with his pointer finger and say “just die” whenever he was irritated. One day, Jake suffered a stroke. After a few instances of deaths that Jake regarded as coincidences, he discovered that he had developed some kind of power after the stroke where people and animals actually died after he pointed at them and said “just die”. This special power makes for an interesting life for Jake.

What I liked most about the book is that Jake tries his best to use his newfound power for the greater good. Even though the killing of people is a crime, I found it interesting to see it from the perspective of the main character, and how he could make the world a better and safer place. I also liked that the plot was very organized, and all of the characters were depicted in ways that readers can relate to.

There was nothing that I did not like about the book. It should be noted that this book is not appropriate for children due to content including drug use and the killing of people. This book did not contain any grammatical errors or typos, a testament to its professional editing.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons I stated above. I gave it this rating because of how interesting the plot was. This was not like any other book I have read before, and I thought it was very intriguing.

I would recommend this book to any adult readers looking for a thrilling and intriguing story. The plot was never boring, and it was full of friendship, love, vengeance, and patriotism. I thought it was a very interesting supernatural thriller.
