Review of Nightlord: Sunset

[Following is a volunteer review of "Nightlord: Sunset" by Garon Whited.]
Nightlord: Sunset by Garon Whited is the first installment in the sequel. It introduces the characters and gives background on them. Eric goes out to party with friends when he passes out at the bar and wakes up in a stranger’s bed.
The stranger, Sasha, is a vampire. She informs him that he is transitioning to a vampire, and Eric is distraught. He is angry because the choice was taken away from him. Eric has no time to dwell on that anger because being a vampire has its cons. He has to adapt to life as a vampire.
I enjoy reading books about vampires. I was so excited to start reading this book, and it did not disappoint. I like that the author created his vampire concepts. It was unique to his writing style. It made the book fun to read because readers aren’t used to his version of vampires. I loved the villains in this book; they were different and lived up to the billing. The author’s skill as a writer was on full display, but I loved his creativity more.
I didn’t like that the book was too long. The story could have been told more succinctly. Some of the information was unnecessary, and most of the stories were used as fillers. The book is the first in a sequel, so I don’t understand the need to put out all this information at once. I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It was fun to read, but I just found it too long.
I like the title of the book. It adheres to the primary plot of the book. The book set a good tone for the subsequent books to follow. I found no errors in the book, which indicates how well-edited the book is. I recommend this book to those who love vampire books.
