[Following is a volunteer review of "Zona: The Forbidden Land" by Fred G. Baker.]
Zona: The Forbidden Land, as the name suggests, gives us a glimpse into a strange place that defies the laws of nature and science itself.
Dr. Grant Taylor's adventure began with his trip to St. Petersburg, Russia, after receiving the sad news about his uncle, who went missing during a research exercise in an unknown and unexplored land for over a year. Being his uncle's sole heir, he had to claim his inheritance as the court had pronounced him dead. Grant had always idolized his uncle, so processing the news of his demise was not an easy one. As he went through his uncle's journals and house, he was convinced there was more to his disappearance than what anyone was letting on. He became curious about this mysterious land responsible for his uncle's demise, and with the help of the uncle's friends and colleagues, he set out on a journey to Zona. His encounter and findings in Zona are beyond your wildest imagination.
I love the main character in this story. Grant showed strength and resilience through every obstacle that came his way. He was also brilliant and confident. The plotline and various genres were delivered effortlessly, too; there was adventure, drama, suspense, and romance. The plot twist was my favorite, and the depiction of Zona was fantastic to the point where I wished to witness it. The book is incredible.
The sex and erotica scenes were without depth, and I found them rather superficial, so I wasn't excited about them. Aside from that fact, I love everything about this book. The author, Fred G. Baker, has a vivid imagination and excellent writing skills.
Zona: The Forbidden Land is definitely a book I would revisit in the future. I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The plotline is commendable, and I looked into the editorial process of the book and found no errors. It was exceptionally edited.
I recommend Zona: The Forbidden Land to lovers of fiction and adventure. The scenery of Zone was a beautiful fantasy and adventure. Because of the erotic scenes, it is unsuitable for underage readers.
