Anti-Black Prejudice In America by Anders Eklof is a non-fictional book that expounds on the causes of anti-black prejudice. The United States of America was founded on the principle of fostering equality of rights, liberty, and happiness for the citizens. However, over the past decades, there emerged differences that have blocked paths leading to happiness and liberty. In turn, this has led to people being oppressed and discriminated against based on tribe, religion, and race. Contrary to the brotherhood of all men, as spelled in the official creed of secular idealism, tribal instincts brought about hostility and mistrust among people. What are the prospective approaches in place to combat such happening soon?

The book is a mind-opener. First, the author provided a comprehensive history that reveals the causes of prejudice and the extent to which this affair has brought innocent people through suffering, oppression, and intimidation through brutality, punishments, sexual abuse, and murder by being hanged, shot, and burnt. Secondly, the book is educational on the evolutionary aspects of religious morality and how these aspects have changed over time to what is believed and practiced to date. Thirdly, the author referred to other books that captured what he intended to project, such as The Worship of the Generative Powers and Killers of the Dream.

There is a burden brought about by too much background narration on the historical events that shows the pain, agony, and torture that the victims of lynching faced and those about the historical origins of the anti-black prejudice.

I rate this book four out of five stars. The contents of the book align with the title, Anti-Black Prejudice In America. Additionally, the editing is professional. However, the dumpy background is burdening, resulting in the deduction of a star.

I rate this book readers passionate about understanding the basis of humanitarian efforts towards fighting racism and discrimination in society.
