Matthew Tysz's fantasy book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival beneath Great Skies, with political scheming and superhuman prowess, is set in the Voulhire realm. Galen Bray, the book's main character, often describes his events in the first person; sometimes, the author turns to the third person. Galen arrived in Voulhire from the Land of the Princes. In contrast to Voulhire, his hometown is chaotic and unfit for a life of security. Upon the death of his uncle, Galen moved to Voulhire. Galen's rich smith uncle had left everything for him since he was the last surviving member of his family. In a different situation, Eldus, the new ruler of Hillport, a city in Voulhire, is making a lot of effort to get rid of terror in his city and other harmful deeds Meldorath's predecessor had left behind. Strangely, it seems that every individual Galen talks to has lost all recollection of the past. Despite being killed, there are claims that Meldorath is still alive and planning a horrible return in Voulhire.
The story is well-written and concise. The vivid and detailed human descriptions and settings masterfully captivate the reader's imagination. The action-packed nature of the whole book keeps the reader engrossed and resists the impulse to skip forward to find out what happens next. The sentences often include humorous asides and biting sarcasm for some light amusement. The amount of effort Matthew Tysz put into this book thrilled me. The book starts out with a map and ends with a glossary that explains terms exclusive to the Voulhirian universe. Voulhire was so well portrayed by the author that I started to believe it was a genuine place. Galen was the one I liked reading about the most. The author's portrayal of a stranger in an unfamiliar environment was simple to identify with.
There was nothing about the book that I didn't enjoy; it was interesting to read. It's a genuinely great novel that captivated me from beginning to end. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I also want to emphasize what a strong beginning this book had. I also like how well the author explored each character's past. The language in this book is excellent.
I'm giving the book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival beneath Great Skies a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.I gave it a perfect five since it was well-written and entertaining. It was very well edited as there were no typos or grammatical problems in it.
To fans of fantasy, magic, and adventure, I'd suggest this book.
