Binge by Anne Pfeffer is a novel revolving around eating disorders and weight issues. Life as an overweight person is perfectly described in this book. It has struggles, and the road to recovery is tough, to say the least.
I immensely enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to others.
The writing of the book is captivating; it has humour in it and keeps you hooked till the end. There is not a single boring page in the entire book, in my humble opinion. The author is also a master at painting with words and described the story world in such a way that I could perfectly visualize it.
The editing is flawless. I couldn't find any typos or errors, and for this reason, my reading flow was uninterrupted. I would rate it 5 out of 5.
The author is successful in transporting the reader to the world of the book, so excellent writing.
It is written in the first person, which I personally love reading.
It has romance, challenging relationships with siblings, and a boss who is tough to deal with. There is nice character development throughout the whole story, and the ending is satisfying. Each character is given its due spotlight and backstory. The main character is described beautifully, and the thoughts in her head about bingeing and her own weight, are spot on. The story focuses on her day-to-day life, and we go on that ride along with her. We sympathize with her, we feel sorry for her, we root for her, and we cheer her on.
It is ultimately a romance novel, so a good amount of time is dedicated to explaining the dynamics between our main character and her love interest. It's interesting, and anyone can relate to it. There is romantic tension throughout the story, in the background.

There are instances of profanity like seasoning in a soup, necessary but not overdone. They express the emotion without seeming crass. It is an excellent read. You can even read the entire book in one sitting.
It's perfect for casual reading while commuting or during a break.
