[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" by Jemima Paul, Arvind Paul.]
"Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" is a very informative book for kids beginning at age 9. Heaven and Hell are very real but some of the terms used in this book can be scarier than necessary for younger children. If I were to read this book aloud to my seven year old, there is a very strong possibility that she would have nightmares of snakes and worms eating her alive in her bed. The information provided in the parent's deciphering of the dreams can definitely be helpful to children that are trying to understand what Heaven and Hell will be like. I also like the scripture locations that the author includes in the pages. If parents need to find the exact scripture described in the book they only need to look to the bottom of the page to see exactly where to find it. My only critique of the book would be to add more illustrations to break up the passages. Children tend to enjoy books more if the passages aren't clustered together on one page. If I were to rate this book strictly for illustration purposes it would be 3 out of 5 stars. The illustration itself is great but it needs more. If I were rating just for writing it would be also be 3 out of 5 stars. IF the author happened to breakup the passages with more illustrations, the book would instantly go up in rating to 5 out of 5.
