Eytan Uliel's novel, Man Mission, tells the story of the adventures, challenges, and triumphs of four best friends as they push themselves to the limit to complete missions that they deem manly. It catalogs the wild and exotic places they visit on their annual trips as they try hiking, kayaking, and cycling, among other activities. It also gives an insight into the struggles that they face in their everyday lives as they age and are faced with different responsibilities, as well as the lessons they learn along the way.

The novel was detailed. The author took his time describing each scenic route that was taken, allowing me to feel as if I was on the journey in person, seeing it with my own eyes. I liked that aspect very much. I was also pleased with how scenes of their lives, outside of the Man Mission trips, were incorporated into the story. In addition, I liked how realistic the novel was. The challenges and turmoil faced by the characters were so easy to relate to, as we face them every day.

On the other hand, I disliked the fraction of their everyday lives that was included in the novel. At each turn, I was left wanting to know more about what was going on but not getting enough satisfaction.

I rate Man Mission 5 out of 5 stars. It was relatable, interesting, and very entertaining to read and experience. Through his vivid descriptions, the author gave me the opportunity to visit places I had never even dreamed of visiting. The novel was professionally edited, as I found no errors in my reading.

I would recommend this novel to adults who are feeling the pressure from their many responsibilities and are looking to relax, explore or travel on a budget from the comfort of their homes.
