[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Are you interested in fictional stories? If you are, the novel We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz would be perfect for you. This is the first book in the fantasy series We Are Voulhire. It has almost all the things that you would wish for in a novel.
In the book, we follow the story of Galen Bray, a young man who is fleeing from the war started by the princes to seek refuge. We follow his journey to Magnum Caelum, where he is meant to inherit his uncle’s fortune. He meets Rowan, who helps him adjust to the town's way of life. The book is set in a medieval-like world that is full of violence, magic, and illusions. The twists and turns in the story will keep you guessing until the end.
What I liked most about this book is how the author used vivid descriptions to paint clear pictures in the reader's mind. This made the story very engaging and easy to follow. Meldorath's abilities fascinated me, and I also enjoyed the stories of the old man on the boat. The characters in this book are well-developed. I appreciated the author's efforts to put a map at the beginning.
I did not like how the author used so many characters in the story. This sometimes made me lose track of the plot. Also, the many subplots may make it hard for some readers to find the main focus of the story.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This is because it was professionally edited; hence, I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors in it. I would recommend it to older teenagers and adults who love fiction because of the profanity and the complex language used. I look forward to reading more books from this author
