Randy Miller is the author of the historically fictitious book Deadly Waters: The Vietnam Naval War And Its Aftermath. This book's topics include love, patriotism, the negative impacts of war, conflicts, treachery, and pain. The major subjects covered in this book are the horrifying effects of war and its hideous face. The conflict that is currently raging in some areas of the world and its horrific repercussions on both people and the environment as a whole is highly comparable to this historical fiction work that is based on genuine events.

Zack Martin, the main character in this tale, enlisted in the Navy soon after receiving his high school diploma since it had always been his boyhood ambition. He had always wished to emigrate from his little farm and travel the globe. He was sent to the mighty Hawke and quickly rose to the rank of excellent seaman. The entire experience appeared interesting and thrilling at first, but as time went on, he began to witness the brutal side of combat. He and the other troops suffered because of the hardships soldiers endured, including the brutal weather, diseases they contracted, injuries they sustained, horrifying deaths, and the manner of life in general. After receiving his discharge, he moved right away to marry his love, Tally, and begin a family. But he quickly learned that he was one of the people who had been harmed by the extremely poisonous chemical that was being used throughout the conflict. How will Zack respond to this?

I appreciated the author's attention to detail. The author has a very engrossing writing style, and the words she chooses may evoke strong feelings in readers. This book opens your eyes to the ugliness of war and the horrific effects it has on society as a whole. The imaginary characters were given life by the author, giving this work a highly genuine feel. I admire the author for letting the readers know about the struggles the troops go through while defending their beloved nation. This book will increase people's respect for and appreciation of warriors, which is beneficial for society as a whole.

I had nothing but positive things to say about this book; it was an educational read.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars. I had quite a good good time and enjoyed reading through it. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I recommend this book to fans of historical fiction and people who enjoy war stories.

This book described war in detail. After reading the book, one will realize that war isn't a good thing at all. I also disliked how Zack and his mates were treated by the government. Zack's suicide hurt me so much. Great review.
