[Following is a volunteer review of "Timewise" by Robert Leet.]
You know how you may at times convince yourself that you have a choice when, in fact, you don't? Alternatives may exist, but that doesn't imply you should utilize them. In a society where science has become more of a popular myth than something memorable, a young man named Ron is determined to make changes through his actions. Timewise by Robert Leet will tell you the whole story of Ron, from his strange upbringing to his quest to change his situation.
This tale tells the story of a young man who left home for home. His movement from one foster home to another left him with little or no life. He met a woman twice his age in high school and shared a romantic connection with her. Regina saw herself as more of a mother to Ron with her effortless and endless advice and tutorship. Ron later drops out of school and subsequently stops seeing Regina. A reunion occurs between them, but that's where the book's main course begins. Get a copy to discover what happens in Ron and Regina's lives.
Character development has always been a problem for me in most science fiction, but this one was the exception. The character development was fantastic. Ron's character is unique; he is a very sincere being, even toward his feelings for Regina. This book's main scientific focus was physics, which the author explained in great depth so that even if you are unfamiliar with the subject, you can still grasp it. The cover of this book was also attractive, and I found it very pleasing. Even with the slightest hint about what kind of story or information is concealed beneath this book's cover, readers know what to expect. The book tries to offer both elegance and substance.
The affection Ron and Regina had for one another was what I disliked about this novel. I don't believe I had feelings for the couple. Also, I thought Ron's attraction to Regina was inappropriate. This book's grammatical analysis was flawless. This book's editing was superb.
I will rate Timewise by Robert Leet 4 out of 5 stars. My reasons for a four-star rating were how easy to comprehend this book was, but I deducted a star because of how uninteresting the book started to become at the ending and for the romantic side. My recommendation for Timewise by Robert Leet is for young adults who love science fiction.
