REVIEW OF RANDY THE IRRESISTIBLE.

Randy the Irresistible is a fictional novel written by the British author S M Goodier.

Randy Love was the lastborn child of John and Marjorie Love. In comparison to his siblings James and Harriet, which both have successful careers Randy was the odd one out. Randy was very intelligent at school; but he does not want to finish university. He was a university dropout at second year, convincing his dad that he is taking a bridge year and will continue varsity later. Randy was selfish, impulsive and quite lazy.

Randy received a call from a potential headhunter and decided to take courses to complete his financial degree. He surprises his friends and family with his achievement. Randy is moving to London to have an actual career.

Life in London wasn’t easy for Randy, and he strains a lot to pay his rental bills. Jumping from one temporary job to the other he finally settling down. After finally found a full-time job, he also finds a new girlfriend Nicky. He did love her but doesn’t want to be committed to her permanently. I found myself falling in love with Randy and his character no matter how much he messed up. I like Randy as the protagonist in this story. Nicky was good for Randy but he didn’t appreciate it. After a month’s final planning he moved out of her apartment to a different flat. She finally dumps him.

It is remarkable how the author does the transition from teenager into adulthood. The book was comical and hilarious. The book was a fun read and not too complex to follow. The story touches on important life themes, which include; adulting, financial struggle and love. It gives me a good laugh. The story did contain some humor. There’s nothing I dislike about the book; the book was professionally edited. There were a few typographical errors, I don’t find any spelling or wrong punctuation; therefore, I rate it 5 out of 5 .

I would recommend this book for college students and young people older than 16 years of age. It’s not suitable for children as there are some profanities and a lot of sex scenes. Its good for people who love comedy fiction novels. I found the index at the back of the book very handy.
