A Dream for Peace is a memoir written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah that contains historical information about the author. The author narrates some of his encounters and experiences in trying to create peace and freedom.

The memoir starts at the time when Algeria was under France’s colonization. Ghoulem Berrah was born into a noble Islamic family. He begins the book by telling readers about his background and early education. During colonization, the author experienced racism and discrimination. It continued up until his university days when he created clubs for the sole purpose of defending student rights and achieving freedom. In his fight for freedom, he took dangerous actions, which had consequences. The book showed the author’s activities, the opposition he faced, and the connections he made in his struggle for peace and freedom. Read this memoir to learn more about the author’s story.

The book contained 17 chapters, excluding a prologue and epilogue. Each chapter emphasized a particular event. The book made good use of images. The images made the book more detailed, and I could picture how events took place. Although Berrah faced numerous obstacles, he didn’t back down. His fight for liberty brought him into contact with notable men. The author became acquainted with several women during this period. The book talks about the romance between Titi and Ghoulem. I believe the author is an activist involved in the fight for black people. I enjoyed reading the epilogue part of the book. I agree that the author fulfilled his mission on earth before his death.

I had one problem with the book, being that it was extremely long. I understand that the author was trying to make the book detailed enough, but I feel this is possible with fewer pages. Generally, I believe some pages in the book were unimportant. However, I don’t think this is enough of a reason to reduce the book’s rating. The book had a lot to offer and shared a great deal of information. I admire the author for writing this memoir. It was nice to see that all that Berra went through in his fight for freedom paid off. The book was exceptionally well-edited, as I came across no errors. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to those planning to contribute positively to society. It would also appeal to lovers of memoirs and autobiographies. I must note that the book is free from profanity.

This sounds lile a fascinating memoir, but I'm somewhat hesitant to start reading a book that is so long, when I don't know anything about the person in question.

Yes, I agree with Ben. Although I do enjoy reading autobiographies, I usually pick someone known. But, this was a good review.

There's so much to learn from this book. We see Berrah trying his best to make his country better. How many of us can have the courage to do that.

Dr. Berrah was living a life of purpose. He was a freedom fighter and diplomat. He genuinely offers his life for the sake of peace for African people. I enjoyed your review, Chris, it is excellent!
