[Following is a volunteer review of "East Wind, 2nd Edition" by Jack Winnick.]
The first book in Jack Winnick's trilogy about the Lara and Uri tale is titled "East Wind: Can the Team Foil the Plot to Blow Up American Cities?" A Hezbollah terrorist organization that communicates intentions to organize attacks against the United States through a university website is the subject of this historical-fiction action thriller. The author examines a wide range of fascinating topics, including love, duty, war, death, and many other intriguing themes. The two major protagonists in this story are Lara and Uri. The author's imagination served as the basis for the characters, events, language, and conduct, all of which should not be taken as facts.
The massacre that occurred in a school, which resulted in the deaths of all but one pupil, is described at the start of the book. In the scheme, the terrorist group Hezbollah, which advocates extreme Islam, intends to detonate several bombs around the United States. Multiple viewpoints are used to tell the narrative. Lara Edmond, a computer analyst and field agent for the FBI, and Uri Levin, a special operations operative for Mossad, are tasked with stopping the assault using every available means in response to the impending one. Get a copy of this book to discover the many intriguing strategies employed.
I found several things in this book to be both uplifting and fascinating. First, the book's cover gives readers a preview of what to expect in the book. Because it conveys a message about the theme of the story, I adore this book's illustrated cover. Another thing I appreciate is that, despite the book's character as a historical-fiction action thriller with many terrible situations, the author was still able to create other sequences that I found gorgeous, romantic, and sexual, which I loved. Uri and Lara's friendship is wonderful. At first, this was entirely professional, but with time, an intimacy grew that led to the sex scenario portrayed in the novel, which I liked.
After reading this engaging and captivating book, I noticed that there was nothing to dislike. The author kept his work exceptionally edited, avoided grammatical errors, and made his book easy to comprehend. I found no negative aspects in this book, and due to this and the author's skilled writing, I am happy to give this book the full rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to adults who won't be affected by violent and horrific situations since it contains some pretty brutal moments. Adult readers who appreciate historical novels and thrillers should pick up a copy.
