Are there times when you feel like your dreams aren't valid? Do you often feel like you have a greater purpose in life but have yet to figure out what that is? Do you fear that you may never achieve your dreams? Or that you would turn out to be a complete failure? If your answers to these questions are yes, read Fear Not, Dream Big & Execute by Jeff Meyer.

Fear Not, Dream Big, & Execute is an educative self-help book that provides hands-on steps on how people can live a purposeful life and exploit their full potential. In his book, Jeff Meyer also encourages Christians to have big dreams and execute them. Jeff believes that fear is a dream killer, and for people to realize their potential, they must conquer fear. The author also noted that it would be impossible to dream without God. Hence, in the different parts of the book, like "Dream Sparks" and "Realization Strategies," the author emphasizes the need for discipline, hard work and having an intimate relationship with God while dreaming.

This book has several positive sides. At the end of each chapter, the author added coaching questions and self-help tips to motivate readers. For example, on page 251, the author asks, 'if all things change when we do, what do you want to change first?' Sometimes, reading a piece can be overwhelming, but with summarized bullet points and questions at the end of each lesson, readers will have a full grasp of the book's core purpose and how they may apply its lesson to their personal lives. Furthermore, the book is written in first-person. This approach and the author's personal experiences gave me a comprehensive understanding of the author's experience. Research shows that reading about other people's experiences is a great way to memorize and learn better about a phenomenon. Thus, on page 274 and in discussing the essence of living a purpose-filled life, Jeff described how using a map for a race he had signed up for gave him the foresight to take the next steps.

However, the book also has negative sides. This 517-page is repetitive. Some of the author's experiences and lessons were repeated in the latter parts of the book, and the questions asked at the end of each chapter were almost the same. In addition, this book claims to be a self-help piece, but several Biblical quotations and references signify that it will be suitable for a particular religious demographic. For instance, in 319, Jeff quoted 'Romans 5:8, John 1:14' and others to help readers learn how to memorize scriptures. Self-books should be objective, and if they are for Christians, their titles should reflect such. This will help readers decide on what book is best for them.

Generally, this is an excellent and detailed piece. The author's approach to writing and story-telling is unarguably the best. The book is also exceptionally well-edited. Hence, I would rate book it five out of five stars, as I found no errors in it. I will also recommend this book to persons battling depression or needing a book to guide them in discovering their ultimate life's purpose.
