The Bible always leaves one wondering and trying to fill in the blanks on certain things. Many have always wondered what they might have done differently if they were Adam or Eve. We all wonder why they disobeyed God. Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is an innovative book that tries to fill in the gaps about what happened. It is purely fictional as the author fills in the blanks based on his ideas of what might have happened.

The book begins with God creating man and making him responsible for all his other creations. He gave Adam and Eve the power of everything he created but forbade them from eating from a particular tree. Lucifer, an angel, takes the form of a serpent and tricks Eve into eating from that tree. Eve realizes what she has done and persuades Adam to eat from that tree too. What consequences will they face for their actions? What ulterior motive does Lucifer have? To find out, grab a copy.

I enjoyed reading this book. The author was very creative. I like how he used his imagination to complete what was written in the Bible. He quelled many possible questions one might ask after reading the Bible. The author described scenes perfectly, and I was able to visualize scenes while reading. I identified with the characters as they felt different emotions. It aided comprehension, and I understood better. I enjoyed reading about God and Adam's relationship. I like how Adam learned things on his own. I also like how he understood God without speaking to him.

I found nothing wrong with the book. I like how the author identified when quoting the Bible. It helped me differentiate between his thoughts and what was written in the Bible. It was important because it helped readers who weren't familiar with the scriptures differentiate between the author's thoughts and what was written in the Bible. I'm happy I read this book; it gave me a chance to read my Bible and see some things from a different perspective.

It is hard for humans to accept they've made a mistake. It takes a strong and courageous person to do that. I found no errors in the book, indicating it was exceptionally well edited. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I like how God let Adam and Eve learn from their mistakes. I recommend this book to scholars and religious teachers.
