How frequently do readers get to read highly in-depth novels regarding our idols' lives that were written by them, even though we have all heard about their pasts?

Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's novel, A Dream for Peace is about a guy who was passionate about his country and would stop at nothing to guarantee his people's independence. Dr. Berrah was raised among other lovely sights, such as the local temples and hunters, like his father, in the little Algerian village of Aïn Beïda, where he was born. The colonizers (French settlers) had already arrived at that time and were asserting their sovereignty over territories that did not consent to them, but all was peaceful.

Things started to alter over time. Racism and slavery both existed. The top doctor, Dr. Berrah, just happened to have studied overseas. He became an activist while studying medicine and collaborated with many other deserving people, including those who didn't seem to be Muslims like him. High positions were obtained by him in the PLO and the Israeli Council for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (ICIPP). He took part in Israeli-Palestinian negotiations for peace.

This book is a memoir by the author. There are roughly 600 pages and 17 chapters in this book. The language is simple to grasp and serves as inspiration for nationalists from many countries. Despite its length, there are many aspects of this book that readers will enjoy, and they will be proud of Dr. Berrah's achievement. I appreciated the author's daring and exciting journey as a supporter of peace. His bravery serves as inspiration for us to pursue our ambitions, regardless of how unachievable they often seem. His experience taught me a valuable lesson about disregard in all of its manifestations, from racism to religious intolerance. He was a person who didn't let it affect his ability to judge people.

There was nothing to hate about this book. The author's writing style can take one in and out of Algeria. I couldn't help but imagine how painful it must have been after he lost his mother. I cried, laughed, and felt proud while reading. I didn't find any errors, and as such, I would say it was exceptionally well-edited. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the above reasons. This novel deserves praise without a doubt. The storytelling technique is entertaining and moving. This tale emphasizes the importance of peace and serves as a warning that there is little benefit to fighting. I suggest this book to Algerians and individuals who might be wanting to learn more about this remarkable person, as well as to historians.
