After the world lost over 99% of its 25 billion population in the year 2555 as a result of a natural disaster that was brought about by high technological advancement, normal people among the remaining twenty-five thousand people began to give birth to children with stronger genetic material, and eventually, some began to show signs that were believed to be unimaginable and were thus named Abnormals. If you are a lover of sci-fi and fantasy books, then this book, WatchDogs: Abnormal Beginnings by Mike L. Junior, is for you.
At the beginning of the novel, a group of individuals who looked to be out to kill Kaarina and Monty for no apparent reason were pursuing them. They managed to escape the men, and after four exhausting days of walking, they came into an abandoned cabin. While in the cabin at night, a man named Cole, also an abnormal, who was badly injured, came, and after being helped by Kaarina, the three of them planned on going to Xenora. Will they be able to make it to Xenora without getting killed by the slayers and abnormal hunters? Learn more by reading this book.
Despite being a sci-fi and fantasy novel, I thoroughly liked every chapter and page of this book because of the many things I was able to take away from it. First of all, it's crucial to recognize that humanity is the root of its own problems. After all, I find it puzzling why anyone would want to kill someone simply because they are perceived as being different. Another important lesson I was able to learn from the life of Kaarina is that you can choose to be different from the rest of the world. Her love for Monty was evident, even though they were not siblings; she loved and cared for him like her own.
Of the numerous positive aspects of this book, I think the storyline is the most obvious. At first, I never thought I would enjoy reading this book, but the unpredictability of the plot made me enjoy every aspect of it. Another aspect of this book that is worthy of mention is the writing style used by the author, which made the book easy to read and understand. This book is perfectly divided into twenty chapters, and each chapter contains a vital part of the story.
The most obvious negative aspect of this book that I totally dislike is the numerous typographical and grammatical errors, which indicate that this book was not well edited, and it's enough of a reason for me to remove two rating stars. On this note, I would rate this book three out of five stars. I would recommend this book to all lovers of sci-fi and fantasy novels and to anyone who loves books on advanced technology.
