Review of A Dream For Peace

[Following is a volunteer review of "A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah.]
I really feel that the ability to live a long, full life and be able to share stories of one's journey with others is one of the greatest gifts that I think humanity can ever have. Not everyone can receive this kind of grace. Additionally, I think it is a very uncommon grace if someone lived a very significant life and had the opportunity to recount his good and bad days alone, with various emotions coursing through his soul while he did so.
I'm overjoyed that Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, the author of A Dream for Peace, was given this sort of grace and was able to document his life's journey to impart wisdom to the leaders of other nations and younger generations and to educate the younger generations, especially Africans, on what life was like before they were born, historical perspectives, and leadership lessons from a man who served in a variety of roles during his active years.
In this book, the author recalls his early memories in Algeria, his motherland. The decision between him and his oldest brother over a career to pursue is influenced by his mother's love and sacrifice. The author made a personal commitment to fight for his country's liberation and freedom from French colonialism. He advocated for the liberation of other African nations as well. In France, as in every other nation he encountered, he began his voyage of self-discovery and the fulfillment of fate and destiny. Do you wish to discover the many techniques the author used to complete these? To learn, obtain a copy.
I learned a lot from this book and had a great time reading it. The author has a lengthy life story that is chock full of rewarding experiences. I appreciated how the author put his whole heart into the book, especially when he talked about what happened after independence and expressed hope that the next generation will get it right. Algeria, along with many other African nations, struggled for independence after years of suffering at the hands of their colonial masters. They only did this to obtain the freedom they so desperately desired and to carry out the actions they alleged the colonial masters had committed against their brothers and sisters. The author provided examples of certain leaders who were unique in their styles of governance and put the needs of the people first. However, after these leaders died, everything positive they had accomplished or intended for their nation was cut short by their successors. This is the reason why racism still exists in Africa.
The author's descriptions of the various strategies he used to free his nation from slavery are my favorite parts of this book. There is nothing about this book that I detest. Despite the book's long pages, which cover events from the early 1940s to 2010, I believed several chapters should have been condensed by the author to prevent readers from becoming disinterested. However, since this is only my opinion, I can't take away a star for it. I discovered only two errors in it, which indicates that the book is professionally edited.
I rate this book five out of five stars because it deepened my understanding of how to pursue my objectives selflessly. Additionally, he taught me that anything is possible. In my opinion, young adults who strive to do their best for their country to remain free, leaders in many political arenas, and memoir enthusiasts should all read this book.
