Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War is the third book in the Washington McBride series by Dorothy May Mercer and is also a stand-alone book. The book explores terrorism, politics, cyberwar, and romance.

In Washington, D.C., Cynthia serves as Senator McBride's chief of security, investigator, bodyguard, and covert receptionist. A mysterious drone suddenly appears in front of the White House one day, shocking everyone and sending the security system into a frenzy. In an instant, Cynthia and her brother, Glenn Patterson, came together to form a group of seasoned hackers who would toil nonstop to defeat these terrorists. In the meantime, Cynthia meets the enigmatic Sky Eastman, and the two instantly fall in love and advance their romance. Cynthia has fallen in love with this unknown man and must now be extra cautious around him despite not knowing who he is. What is this man's true identity? How can Cynthia prevent these terrorists from taking over her nation? To learn more, pick up a copy of Cynthia and Dan's book.

The suspense in the book kept me reading because I enjoy reading unpredictable books. I liked how the author subtly incorporated terrorism and romance into the story. The story had a good sense of consistency and flow. There was always something to look forward to, especially the hot romance between Cynthia and Sky. I also liked the mystery behind Sky's true identity.

However, there were two things I disliked in this book. First, Cynthia's lackadaisical attitude toward crucial issues. As an expert in the field of security, I had anticipated that she would be more concerned with security. In my opinion, she was too quick to reveal personal details to Sky, who at that point was only a stranger. Secondly, the title of the book led me to believe Dan would play a bigger part in the story, especially given the war against the terrorists, yet he hardly made an appearance.

While reading, I did not notice any errors, which is proof of exceptional editing. The book held my interest from the very first chapters till the end. I liked the element of suspense that Dorothy used in this book. For the reasons mentioned above, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Readers who enjoy a mix of mystery, romance, and action will enjoy this book. Given that it has a few sex scenes and profanities, a more mature audience would likely find it more entertaining.

Cynthia and Dan was a good book. I liked the mixture of politics, terrorism and romance. Although if I had a choice, I would have changed Cynthia's character from naive to smart. It would have been better if she lived up to her reputation. Good job with the review.

Cynthia and Dan is one book that took me to another level of technological improvisation owing to its using in combating terrorist from far location it is a measure that should be adopted. The review is amazing.

I enjoyed this book as well. I also liked the mystery behind Sky's identity, and the reveal was great. I agree that Cynthia's character was quite lackadaisical for a security expert, but overall, it was still a good book. Nice review.

I love the plot of this book. I understand where the author is aiming at, even though she didn’t really develop the plot. It was still interesting. Good job!

Cynthia is my favorite character, her courage as a woman amazes me. However, I hope she makes a good decision falling in love with an unknown man. Great review.

Wow. I guess love at first sight really works. Lol. I would also like to know who this man is and his identity. I will also love to know what Cynthia does regarding the terrorists. Amazing review.
