[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
Jemima and Arvind are a christian couple, who met and got married in a traditional way through their parents. They are worshippers of God and lovers of Jesus and are always praying for enlightenment, signs and guidance from the one above. The couple got blessed initially by two angels, that they named with beautiful and meaningful names Pryanka the older daughter and Deepika the second one.
When Pryanka got four years old and Deepika two, the two girls started having dreams or "visions" as called by the author, about Heaven in which they were carried by angels, they met Jesus and sat on God's laps. The young girls with the so little knowledge they had about the topic, they gave description about the creatures, the decoration, the ambiance, the activities in Heaven that were much similar to the descriptions given in the Bible. On the other hand, Pryanka and Deepika had visions about Hell either, which they disliked and described as a bad experience, because though, they were under the protection of Jesus and only their hands were showing, they were frightened by the scenes they have seen, they gave description to the approximate location of hell, the fire colors, the creatures, how humankind that have sinned looked in hell and also they described how sad Jesus was to see the mankind being tortured to in infinite time, though him being mad at then for disobedience .
I love the face that the author tried to stay objective in her writing by stating her kids“visions of both hell and heaven, and then Jemima Paul gives interpretation to each vision based on the verses from the Bible, to explain the visions and show how they matched with the holy texts. While, some saying of the girls, remain unexplained and the author herself remains confused and gives exclamations with forcing an explanation, which makes the book very credible. And at the end of the book , the author summarizes and gives comparisons between aspects from Heaven and aspects from Hell.
I rate this book three out of four and I rated it four out of five , because it is structured in a good and simple way , that makes it easier for the reader to imagine the visions seing by the kids and also understand the relationship between then and the description given in the Bible. I also find the language level attainable to the different age sections , which will make it attainable even to kids .
On the other hand, despite the fact that the title "Snatched up to heaven " gives a first impression about what the book is about. I don't find it very suitable, since it doesn't refer the Hell in anyway, although, a little less than fifty percent of book was about visions on Hell.
