The memoir, A Dream for Peace, walks readers through the life of a hero. The author, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, was born in a little town in Algeria. He became his parents' lone son after death took his two siblings. This book describes his patriotic determination to liberate his country from colonialism after growing up and witnessing the oppression of their French colonizers. He received a scholarship to study medicine in France as a result of his extraordinary academic performance. After observing the stereotyping of his people both domestically and abroad, he became an activist. Although the struggles were not simple, they were also not in vain. He advocated for the abolition of colonialism in Algeria. Get a copy of this book to learn more in-depth information about this lovely man.

I made a note of some positive aspects of this book. First of all, reading it gave me a ton of knowledge and information. I discovered many heroes from other nations, and most importantly, I learned about patriotism. The author's efforts to improve peaceful ties between Africans and the rest of the world are one quality I like about him. He was a physician as well as a freedom fighter, revolutionary ambassador, and peace activist. He continued by showing that dialogue, rather than going to war, is the only way to achieve peace. The images incorporated into several of the chapters of the book are another element I adore. It improved the clarity of what had occurred at the time. In this book, Dr. Berrah shared some of his diplomas with us as well as other pictures from various levels of his life.

The only fault with this book is how long it is to read. However, it was well worth my time because the author truly leads an interesting, busy, and successful life. He is such a kind and heroic man. Other than this, I had no other complaints about the book.

In reading this book, I came across a few errors. Another round of editing will easily set this straight. I am giving this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars since the positive aspects outweigh the negative ones.

This book contains a lot of historical incidents as well as a lot of heroes. Because of this, I will suggest this book to activists, enthusiasts, and politicians. Dr. Berrah's life is one that merits study and imitation.

Many of us are not very familiar with what happened during the days of the colonial masters and what people went through was nothing to write home about.
