A Dream for Peace is an autobiography of the author, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, a political activist who envisioned his country's independence and fought till it became a reality.

Being mistreated in France, where he studied medicine, stirred up his interest in fighting for the freedom of his people. Algeria had suffered discrimination from its colonial masters. Protesting and acting on this issue led to his imprisonment. After his release, he gained more knowledge on how to liberate his country. He also became a scientist after studying in the United States of America, discovering the selective inhibition of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria in DNA synthesis. Does his dream of peace become a reality? Who shares interests in his beliefs? Find out by reading the book.

This book is a beautiful piece of writing. I love the spice the author added to the book with his romance story. It keeps the readers entertained. Despite their differences in religion and cultural background, the author and his wife shared an enviable love. They faced problems together as a united team. The bond between the author and his friends was inspiring to read about. They assisted each other no matter the cost.

The author served as a special advisor to President Houphouet—Boigny of Cote d'Ivoire. Dr. Berean received support and developed a close relationship with him. They worked together to build the country and solve the nation's issues.

I find the author's acceptance amusing. He has no issues relating to people of other religions. He respected other religions despite being Muslim. This is a lesson people can learn to accept.

The book tells of the courageous acts of the author. Their love for their country is inspiring. I loved how he refused to be silenced by the troubles he faced. It shows that you can achieve whatever you dream of with the right mindset and great determination.

Furthermore, I spotted zero errors while reading, so the editing is exceptional. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found nothing to dislike about it. It is educational, informative, and inspiring.

Lovers of history can grab this book. I also recommend it to non-fictional novel lovers. Political activists and freedom fighters will love reading this book. The book is quite lengthy and therefore requires much time to be completed. It also teaches the values of love, freedom, and peace. This book might seem boring to a younger generation of readers.
